Jane is the Student and Academic Recruitment Manager at The Alan Turing Institute. She is also the Disability and Wellness Network Lead within the EDI team.
Jane qualified as a teacher in Geography from Homerton College, Cambridge in 1997. Following an accomplished career in the classroom and examining at GCSE and A Level, she transitioned into Admissions and lead a thriving and successful Admissions department for a large independent school in Cambridgeshire for nearly 7 years.
Jane has been at the Turing since February 2022. Her primary objective with the help of her team is to lead Calls that are open and transparent. Jane strives to provide the necessary tools to assist students and early career researchers in their applications so that they can learn and grow from the process. Whether an application is successful or not, the applicant should always feel the process was fair and valuable to their experience.
